(SINL NIGERIA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said contrary to misinformation, Nigeria is not on the list of countries facing an entry ban into Saudi Arabia from April 13.

The minister of foreign affairs, Yusuf Tuggar in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Communications Strategy, Alkasim Abdulkadir said the Saudi authorities have officially confirmed that the viral memo suggesting Nigeria’s inclusion in the ban list is false.

Indeed, he called the document, which named Nigeria, Egypt, India, Pakistan and others as banned, misleading.

Specifically, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in an infographic described the information as false, stressing that the Commission has not received any official communication from the Saudi Authorities on the matter.

The NAHCON therefore advised the public to disregard the rumour and rely only on official update.
