Member representing Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Ochiglegor Idagbo, has expressed optimism that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will triumph at the Cross River North senatorial Bye-election.

Recall, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed October 31, 2020 for the Cross River North Senatorial election bye election.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the joint committee of Senate and House of Representatives on local content on Monday observed that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Stephen Odey will triumph.

“We have flagged off the campaign and we intend to tour all the local government areas within the north senatorial district, starting from Yala local government area.

“Cross River is a PDP state and the North Senatorial district is solely PDP therefore, Dr. Odey by the grace of God will win the senatorial bye-election come October 31, 2020.” he said.

Idagbo who is the chairman of Dr. Odey’s campaign team also commented on the recent outburst of honourable Jarigbe Agom on the conduct of the said primary election and his quest to seek redress in the court of law.

Idagbo said, until the court say otherwise, Dr. Odey remains the candidate of PDP in the October 31, 2020 C’River North Senatorial bye-election.

He explained that there is nothing wrong if any aggrieved party is seeking a redress in the court of law for whatever reason, thereby exercising his rights as enshrined in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, but what is important is that the people have spoken.
