The speaker Zamfara state house of Assembly Rt.Honourable Nasiru Muazu Magarya has charged police in the state to be alive to their responsibility.
Honourable Magarya gave the charge while decorating five officers and men of the Nigerian police force attached to the state House of Assembly and recently promoted to their next ranks.
In a statement signed by the Director General, Press and Public Relations, Zamfara state House of Assembly, Mallam Mustafa Jafaru Kaura and made available to SINL Nigeria Online said the officers are dedicated to their primary duty.
The decoration ceremony was performed by the Speaker, assisted by the state Deputy commissioner of police in charge of Administration, Mr Bennett Onyeaka.
The Speaker charged them (officers and men) to be alive to their responsibilities in the course of their primary duty.
According to him, “more than any other time in the past, you are expected to display a high sense of professionalism and decorum, to whom much is given much is also expected”.
He commended the harmonious work relationship between the House and the state police command under the leadership of CP Usman Nagoggo which he prayed it will be maintained.
The officers sergeant Sani Muhammad Zurmi, sergeant Shehu Hassan and sergeant Abubakar Aliyu were promoted to the rank of inspectors.
Others rank and file that were promoted include corporal Tujjani Saidu to the rank of sergeant, while Aliyu Umar was also promoted to the rank of corporal
