The Zamfara state House of Assembly on Friday urged the state government to construct Tsafe eastern bye pass.
The House also reconstituted twenty four standing committees.
The construction of the bye pass in Tsafe, according to the lawmakers will ease traffic congestion during market days.
This is sequel to a motion by member representing Tsafe east constituency, Hon Musa Bawa Musa Yankuzo, who is also the Deputy speaker of the House.
Musa noted that Tsafe town, being the gateway to Zamfara state need such type of expansion along the eastern part of the town, to allow for easy passage of vehicles particularly on market days.
“The distance of the Road is approximately four kilometers and does not require bridges or multi cells culvert, therefore does not also require much fund”.
According to him, Tsafe town is a commercial centre, saying “when the Road is constructed, it will raise the economic profile of tsafe local government”.
Consequently, Speaker of the House, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya referred the matter to committee on works and Transport.
The House also considered a bill to provide for the establishment of Zamfara state Directorate of investment and public private partnership and other Matters and passed it for second reading.
The Speaker however adjusted House Special Standing committees which saw Hon Ibrahim Tudu Tukur Bakura as the chairman House committee on Humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, a newly formed House committee.
