The Zamfara state All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate for the House of Representatives in the forthcoming 2023 election Hon. Abdul Malik Zubairu Bungudu has assured to tackle youths restiveness through sports activities.
Indeed, he donated 250 sports wears to football clubs in his constituents in the state, saying football clubs across 21 wards of Maru/Bungudu would benefit from the gesture.
“I have distributed sport wears and footballs to over 250 football clubs across the 21 wards in my constituency of Maru and Bungudu local government areas “.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the distribution of the sport wears on Wednesday, adding that the idea was conceived out of his passion for sports development, “this would fight youth restiveness and reduce youths involvement in crimes”.
“Youths engagement in sporting activities and small scale trades reduces depression and tendency of committing crimes” he said.
