Banditry: Zamfara Govt Dethrones two Emirs, district head

The Zamfara state government has dethroned Emirs of Zurmi, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and Dansadau, Alhaji Hussaini Umar following his involvement in banditry activities in the state.

Similarly, the government also removed the district head of Birnin Tsaba, Alhaji  Suleiman Ibrahim Danyabi with immediate effect. 

Addressing newsmen on Wednesday evening, shortly after the state executive Council meeting held at Government House Gusau, the commissioner of information Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Dosara said the decision was reached following a white paper report.

“As a result of the executive Council meeting held today Wednesday, chaired by the acting Governor, Senator Hassan Mohammed Nasiha, the council deliberated on the white paper report, after they received another report that was set up to, which review and studied the white paper report for the two emirs and the district head.”

The council has also revoked all land titles allocated by the two emirs during their tenure in their domain. 

It would be recalled that the two emirs  and the district head were accused of aiding Banditry, Kidnapping and cattle rustling in their respective areas.
