Change of guard at AFCSC Jaji, decorates three officers

There was a change of guard at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, Kaduna state on Friday following hand over of mantle of leadership of the college from Air Vice Marshall E O Alade to Air Vice Marshall O A Tuwase.


The college also decorated three newly promoted officers, in a military ceremony, which saw top leadership of the college in attendance.

The outgoing commander of the college, AVM EO Alade in an address prior to handover, expressed satisfaction for God’s guidance, saying he successfully presided over the college in the last eleven months.

He noted that for the period he held sway at the college, and with the cooperation of the College Committee and other officers, he injected new life to the college through a meticulous curriculum review and project executions in the institution; and training of the highest military officer in the country.


Consequently, he called for support for the new head in his new assignment.

The outgoing Commander of the College also commended the newly promoted officers for their diligence and excellent service to the military and the nation which informed their promotions to higher leadership in a highly competitive selection by the highest military board.

He however urged the officers to see their promotions as a call to duty and more responsibility, at a more higher level of leadership in Nigeria Military.

The new Commander of AFCSC, AVM Tuwase while accepting the handover note, lauded the outgoing Commander as a brave and experience administrator.


He pledged to build more on his achievements in the college.

The officers decorated were, the Acting Director of Administation, Col. M Isah decorated as Brig. Gen. M Isah, Commander Musa Usman Brah now Navy Capt. Musa Usman Brah while Flt. Officer Ejembi was decorated as Flt. Lt. Ejembi.

In his remarks on behalf of other officers decorated, the Acting Director of Administation, Brig. Gen. M. Isah thanked the outgoing commander for his leadership and fatherly role, even as he assured the new Commander of the college, a holistic support that will take the college to a higher level.

He assured the new leadership their readiness to justify their elevation to a higher rank and responsibility, stressing that they will rededicate themselves to the services of the college and effect more desire reforms.
