DSS arrests EFCC boss Magu

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

SINL Nigeria gathered that Magu was arrested on Monday afternoon at the Wuse II, Abuja office of the EFCC on Monday over allegations that he was siphoning part of money recovered by the commission from suspected looters.

Recall, Magu’s had been accused of graft by Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), recently.

Specifically, Malami requested President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Magu over some “weighty” allegations, including the diversion of recovered loot.
