A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia is dead.
He was aged 64.
According to the family lawyer, Mr Yakubu Bawa, he died in the early hours of the day, at his residence in Jos, Channels TV reported.
Bawa who is the Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association, said Dr. Mailafia’s death followed a brief illness.
Dr Mailafia was the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the 2019 presidential election.
