Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki has formally joined the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Indeed, the PDP confirmed the report in a tweet on its official handle.

He joined the party at the State Secretariat in Benin.

It would be recalled that Obaseki had been disqualified from participating in the governorship primary election of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The APC committee that screened Obaseki alleged irregularities in his credentials.
