Jigawa state Governor, Mohammed Badaru on Tuesday kept mute as Minister of Transport, Honourable Rotimi Amaechi declared his interest to contest for the office of President in Dutse.
Badaru said his silence followed resolve of APC governors forum to speak with one voice.
Speaking at the government house, the governor said he cannot utter a word of support or rejection for the Minister, because they have to speak with one voice in their APC’s Governors’ Forum.
Addressing reporters shortly after his closed door meeting with Governor Badaru, Amaechi said he was in Dutse to make his intention to contest for President known.
He also said “I’m here in the state to also brief the Governor and the people of Jigawa state about the proposed Railway that will be constructed from Kano to Dutse”.
