Zamfara state Governor Dauda Lawal has condoled the people of Tsafe Emirate over the recent bandits attack that claimed the lives of some citizens of the area.
In a statement on Wednesday night signed by Nuhu Salihu Anka, Director GeneralMedia and Communication and made available to SINL Nigeria Online said the Governor who was represented by his Deputy Hon. Mani Mal. Mumuni described the attack as barbaric and uncalled for coming at a time when people of the state are yearning for peace to prevail.
According to the governor, the state Government is highly disturbed with the incident and will leave no stone unturned in the fight against insecurity in the state.
The governor therefore called on the Emir to direct all district heads and Imams in the area to inform their followers to continue to pray for peace in the area and the state at large.
The deputy governor presented State Government’s relief assistance of One Million Naira and directed the Emir to present a comprehensive list of the families affected by the attack to his Office for further assistance.
He assured the Emir of state Government’s resolve to deploy more security personnel to the area for the protection of their lives and property.
In his response, the Emir thanked the delegation for the condolence visit which he described as the first of it’s kind by the State Government to the area.
In the Deputy Governor’s entourage were the Secretary to the state Government, Alh Abubakar Nakwada, chief of staff Hon. Mukhtar Mihd Lugga, heads of security agencies in the state and other Government officials.
