(SINL NIGERIA) Gunmen believe to be armed bandits have killed the former Talata Mafara Local Government Area’s Sole Administrator in Zamfara State, Alhaji Saminu Sulaiman Morai.
A resident of the area, Usman Morai told our correspondent on phone that the former Local Government boss was attacked by unidentified gunmen.
He pointed out that the bandits invaded the village with sophisticated weapons on Monday night.
“The terrorists stormed the community at around 2am on Monday in their large numbers with sophisticated weapons and attempted to kidnap Morai, but he resisted and they finally killed him”, he added.
According to him, his wives were yet to ascertain the number of children who were abducted and taken to an unknown destination.
SINL Nigeria reports that Morai was a retired permanent secretary and later served as Talata Mafara council Sole Administrator.
“As I am talking to you now, we are yet to ascertain how many people were abducted by these dreaded terrorists during the invasion”
