The All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Jigawa state on Saturday held ward Congress in all the 27 local government areas peacefully.

A visit to some wards in Dutse by delegation from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja gave the exercise a pass mark.
The areas visited in Dutse local government included Kachi Ward, Madobi Ward and Limawa Ward.

The Chairman of the APC Ward Congress, Chief Chima Onyekwere described the exercise as a beautiful beginning for the party.

Speaking with reporters, Onyekwere, who monitored the exercise in Dutse, Kiyawa and Jahun local government areas said the exercise was impressive.

He said the exercise was largely peaceful because, the members adopted a consensus arrangement, “that is why you discovered that it was devoid of rancour.

“I’m impressed with the turnout of party members in Jigawa State, an indication that APC is a party to beat and that APC is a party on the ground.

“We have visited some Wards in Dutse, such as Kachi and Gunduba to Ward I Kiyawa local government and we are impressed with what we saw. This is is an indication that the local organizing committee did a good job.”

He insisted that the exercise was valid despite the judicial pronouncement on it’s leadership, adding that the party team of lawyers studied the Supreme Court pronouncement and has offered perfect legal interpretation of the judgment.
