Jigawa Gov Signs Performance Bond with MDAs

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi on Tuesday signed a bond with all Ministries, Boards, Agencies and Parastatals.

The Governor said the bond will enhance transparency, prudence, accountability and commitment in  public service delivery across the state.

During the meeting held in Government House with all the members of the state executive council, heads of MDAs presence, Namadi urged them to hold the promise in good faith and with commitments.

“The performance bond is a framework designed to help in assessing and evaluating all the MDAs for better results.

“There is no cause for apprehension in signing the bond, but it is a step to always remind the executive council members that, Jigawa people are waiting for the government to come up with realistic policies and programm that can enhance their social and economic well-beings.

“During campaign we promised to work toward improving the life of Jigawa people, based on this, I developed my 12 point agenda, and I am committed to ensure full implementation of these points.

“I am expecting every council member, elected/political appointees civil servants and general public to work on this direction to achieve the desire goals,” Namadi said.

The Secretary to  State Government, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim said the signing of the bonds means promise to deliver the expected results through innovative and robust approach in public service.

“The concept of monitoring, evaluation, rewards and punishment will be upheld at all levels,” he stated
