Jigawa State Civil Service Commission has promoted 10,540 staff from 2016 to 2020.
Chairman of the commission, Alhaji Lawan Abdu Babura disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Dutse on Wednesday.
He said out of the number, 1,827 were promoted in 2017, 2,554 in 2018, 2,304 in 2019 and 2,697 in 2020.
Alhaji Lawan added that 1,661 staff were promoted this year, while the commission is processing other civil servants’ promotion this year.
He said about 1,760 staff were retired from active between 2016 and 2020.
He said the promotion was in line with the state government commitments in boosting the morale, as well motivate it’s workforce for improved service delivery.
