Jigawa state government has paid N1.7 billion to 707 retirees of the state civil service for the month of February 2023.
Briefing newsmen at the state Pension House on Wednesday, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Kamilu Musa said that the beneficiaries include all categories.
“It include retirement, death, death pension balance, refund of 8 percent contributory, refund of under payment and 40 percent pension increase”, Musa said.
According to Musa, the beneficiaries under the state are 302 and they were paid the sum of N816,053,702.90 million.
“117 beneficiaries under the LGC have been paid the sum of N200,478,804.58 million. And those under the LGEA were 288 in number and N748,104,802.00 million was paid to them among others”, he explained.
The Executive Secretary added that the payment of the retirement benefits also include those that were not paid at the end of the 2022.
