Vice President, Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Timothy Nwan has appealed to the management of Karl Kum University and the host community, Vwang to resolve the lingering crisis rocking the institution for resumption of academic activities.
He urged the parties to be sincere and fair to each other in the resolution, saying the lingering crisis is not good for the image of the church.
Rev. Nwan disclosed this during his induction Service as Vice President of the Church, held at COCIN Headquarters Church, Jos, Plateau State.
He noted that the Bible has directed believers to be obedient to justice and righteousness and vowed to support the President to ensure faithfulness and accountability to the church.
“Karl Kum University remain a global academic vision of the Church of Christ in Nations and I employ the management of the University and the host community of Vwang to resolve the issues that concern the University.
“Our inability to resolve the problem is touching on the image of the Church, I strongly believe that the issues at stake can be resolved to the glory of God ” he stated.
President of the Church, Rev. Amos Mozho who performed the induction urged him to be committed towards achieving the vision and mission of the church.
He noted that the Church has come along way in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, added that there is need for team work to sustain the vision.
Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Prof. Sonni Tyoden applauded the process that led to the emergence of Rev. Timothy Nwan as Vice President and urged politicians to emulate the church in the conduct of elections.
He lamented over the recent APC primary election in Plateau and faulted the process which he described as selection and not election.
