Kogi Govt constitutes committees for made in Kogi Trade fair

Ahead of the made in Kogi trade Fair, projected to hold late October or early November this year, the state government has constituted five committees vital to the execution of the event.


A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the state
Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Taiye Bayode and made available to SINL Nigeria Online on Thursday said the Director General, Kogi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (KOCCIMA), Samuel Enejoh lauded the Permarment Secretary, saying five committees neccessary for the trade fair has just been formed.

According to the statement, the committees will oversee the project and ensure its success and “MDAs that are important to each of the committees listed, will be added accordingly, to enable them function properly”.

The committees include, Finance, Secretariat, Monitoring and Evaluation,  Publicity and Mobilization, Works, Venues and Utilities, Security, Protocol and Logistics and Medical & Welfare.

“The planned “Made in Kogi Trade Fair 2021” event is shaping up nicely, as very important step to it’s success has just been set in stone.

“This was evident at the office of the Permanent Secretary, where representatives from various MDAs were in attendance for the latest briefing” the statement said.


Continuing, it added that each committee will also have a Chairman and Secretary to ensure that all protocols are duly noted and observed.

It however emphasised that even though a specific date for the Trade Fair has not been fixed yet, there is a projected time frame of late October/Early November 2021.


“The Permanent Secretary and Director, Admin and Finance applauded the team and consequently adjourned the meeting, to enable representatives that were absent meet up with nominations at next meeting” the statement concluded.
