The Borno State Police Command on Wednesday received a significant donation of investigational assets from the Lake Chad Basin Support, further strengthening the long-standing partnership.
The donation, which includes one digital camera, 500 complete case files, 1000 statement forms and other essential items underscores the NGO’s commitment to enhancing the operational efficiency of the Command.
The presentation was made by representatives of the organization, Queen Elizabeth Macleod (Sarauniya) and Kevin Hurley, as part of their ongoing support to the Police in the state.
Over the years, the Lake Chad Basin Support Framework has contributed immensely to the capacity-building of the Command, particularly in areas such as Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), professionalism, and the establishment of a functional gender desk across all 38 police divisions in Borno State.
During the presentation, the Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal psc, expressed his heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM for the unwavering support of the organization. He assured that the donated items would be judiciously utilized to further the Command’s investigative and operational objectives.
