Nigeria @63: Senator Onyesoh harps on unity as a beacon of hope

The Senator Representing Rivers East Senatorial District at the 10th National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Allwell Heacho Onyesoh,  has congratulated the people of Rivers East and other Nigerians as the country commemorates its 63rd year of independence.

In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Oriri Peter, Senator Onyesoh emphasized the importance of unity as a beacon of hope for our nation.

While acknowledging the challenges faced over the years, including insecurity, the Senator who chairs the Senate Standing Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs reassured Nigerians, especially the good people of Rivers East, that there was hope for the nation’s future.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s progress in economy, technology, education, music and sports, Senator Onyesoh highlighted the resilience of Nigerians towards nation building. 


He stated that “the Senate Standing Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs, under my stewardship, through the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Senate President Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio will ensure unity, fairness, and equity in government policies and administrations.”

While urging the nation to embrace its diversity as a source of strength and collaborate towards a brighter future for generations yet unborn, Senator Onyesoh called on Nigerians to honour the sacrifices of past heroes and recognize the potentials in each citizen as we collectively build our nation.
