Following the release of 72 minors by the federal government, the National Youth Leader of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Ambassador Mohammed Auwal Musa has applauded the effort of national leader of the party, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in ensuring the release of the children.
Recall, President Bola Tinubu recently directed the immediate release of all the arrested and arraigned minors over the #EndBadGovernance protests held in August.
Further recall that on Friday, November 1, 2024, the police brought 72 minors before a Federal High Court in Abuja over their participation in the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests.
A statement signed by the NNPP National Youth Leader thanked Kwankwaso, saying President Tinubu answered the call for justice by the party leader, which led to their release.
“With deep sense of humility, I want to use this medium to thank Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso for his urgent concerns and commitments on the recent misappropriation of justice by the Nigerian government on the arraignment the minors over charge of waving another’s country flag during the #END BAD GOVERNMENT protest.
“The President Tinubu answered call for justice from the National leader of New Nigeria people party (NNPP) Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso”.
“Kwankwaso urged the President for justice considering the detention of the minors by the police for more than three months. My leader, I commend your intervention towards ensuring the release of these children, you’re indeed a philanthropist who prioritized National interest” Musa said.
Additionally, the statement commended Governor Abba Kabeer Yusuf of Kano State. “I say kudos to you for your contributions and making sure that your government has impacted on the citizenry”.
