No petition in Jigawa, says APC LG Congress Appeal committee

The All Progressive Congress (APC) local governnent Congress Appeal committee sitting in Dutse has concluded its assignment without a petition from members the Chairman of the committee, Abdullahi Abubakar has said.


Speaking Sunday at the state APC secretariat in Dutse on Sunday, Abubakar said the committee was in the state to receive complaint from party members with regard to the just concluded local government congresses in the state.

He explained that the committee was established in accordance with the party’s constitutional provision, to promote unity, progress, justice and fairness amongst APC faithfuls.


According to him “it was based on this that we invited all those involved, discussed, and arrived at a common destiny in line with our philosophy that APC is one family under one umbrella”, he remarked.

Abubakar expressed satisfaction on the  leadership of APC in Jigawa for fostering unity, dedication; stressing that “with what we have witnessed and heard, really Jigawa state is united and the members have mutual respect for each other”.


“As we entered third day in Jigawa state there was no individual or group of  complaint with regards to the concluded local government congresses of our great party.


“This indicate that the party leader in the state, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar is carrying every one along”.


Alhaji Abubakar commended the APC members for the way and manner they conducted themselves which led to the overwhelming success of the congress in the state.


Also speaking, the state deputy governor, Malam Umar Namadi said, during the 2019 general election no single petition was registered at the election tribunal in the state, saying the people of Jigawa state believe in true democracy.
