The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has apprehended a 26-year-old Manir Sulaiman of Tsohon Kafi in Kazaure LGA for alleged case of homosexuality.
A statement signed by an official of Jigawa office of NSCDC, Adamu Shehu stated that the arrest of the suspect followed a complain lodged by the father of the victim, an Eight (8) year old boy (name withheld) of the same address.
The father stated that early in the morning, his son sneaked to a nearby quarters popularly called Kanti, saying that made him became suspicious.
He maintained that out of curiosity, he subjected his ward to interrogation and discovered his sexual relationship with the suspect (Manir).
He told his father that every morning when he goes out, the suspect use to take him to a nearby farm, sodomise him and gives him N500 on each encounter.
A trap was set up by the NSCDC operatives, and at around 0720hrs of Thursday the suspect was caught red-handed after he has removed his trouser to engage the victim sexually at the described farm.
Medical examination conducted at the Sexual Assault and Referral Center, Dutse General Hospital, revealed evidence of repeated sexual penetration.
The statement said the suspect will be charge to court, after thorough investigation for possible prosecution.
Meanwhile, the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Mustapha Talba has strongly warned perpetrators of similar ungodly act to desist, and if caught will face full wrath of the law.
