(SINL NIGERIA) The Zamfara Correspondents’ Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), in collaboration with the Office of the Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, is set to organize a sensitization workshop on security reportage for working journalists in the North-west region.

According to Aminu Mayanchi, Chapel Secretary, the workshop aims to equip journalists with modern techniques for reporting security issues.

The chapel has expressed concern over the current state of security reportage in the region and seeks to address this through the workshop.

To facilitate the success of the workshop, a 13-man committee has been established, chaired by Umaru Mohammed Maradun, with Ibrahim Ahmad Gada serving as Secretary.

The committee’s efforts will be crucial in ensuring the workshop’s objectives are met.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, founded in 1955, has consistently advocated for improved journalism practices and working conditions.

This workshop is a testament to the union’s commitment to promoting excellence in journalism, particularly in the critical area of security reportage.
