Police arrest 10 suspected bandits, Rescue one victim in Jigawa

Jigawa state Command has paraded 10 suspected bandits that killed two Police officers on Sunday this week at Taura local government area of the state.


Addressing Journalists on Thursday, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Aliyu Sale Tafida said the suspects were arrested in a forest in Sule Tankarkar local government area with four of their wives and nine children.


Mr Tafida said the successful feat tagged, “Operation Flush Out” was achieved during the exercise carried out by officers and men from departments of Operations, Police Mobile Force, Criminal Investigation, State Intelligence Bureau and Medical as well as three area Commands of Gumel, Ringim and K/Hausa.

Recovered in their possessioned were three AK47 Rifles, nine Magazines and 308 live ammunation of 7.6mm, One GPMG with it’s two empty chains, one Toyota Hummer Bus, nine Motorcycles, the Sum of N2,070,000.00k Million cash, one Cutlass, six different Handsets, nine batteries and 12 Sim Cards as well as five SD Card Memories.


Also narrating her ordeal in the hands of the Kidnappers, one Hadiza Alhaji Chadi who was earlier abducted on 08/01/2022 at Marma Village K/Kasamma LGA said she was picked from her home around 3pm on the fateful day.


“We spent almost three hours on Motorcycles to reached our destination. And when we arrived, I met one man who said he was also abducted from a village in Kano state. And later on they took me to a separate room where nobody is allowed in except them.

“They told my husband to pay them N100 million and kept on reducing the amount to N10 million, but later no ransom was paid before I was rescued by these security men”, she concluded.
