Three Chinese expatriates kidnapped in Osun state were on Monday released by their abductors, the police said.

It would be recalled that the expatriates were reportedly kidnapped at a mining site after a disagreement with their labourers last week Monday.

The labourers were said to have contacted families of the victims and demanded a sum of N500 million.

Although it was not immediately clear how the expatriates regained freedom on Monday.
