The Zamfara state APC candidate for Bungudu/Maru federal constituency in the forthcoming 2023 election, Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has donated skills acquisition equipments to 300 women as empowerment to his constituent.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony held at Furfuri town, in Bungudu local government area, the candidate said the donation was part of his blueprint of empowering women to be self reliant.
He said the beneficieries were trained by the Zamfara state Investment and Property Development Company in collaboration with the Consulting Firm, Brighter Future Initiatives in the state.
He explained that 300 women were trained on soap/perfume making, shoe and bag making, sewing, event decorations, make up, liquid car wash and hair dressing among other vocational skills.
“The gesture is a start up support for you to progress, based on your respective skills,” Zanna added.
The APC reps candidate maintained that women as mothers, need to be supported to take care of their various responsibilities, “empowering or educating women is like empowering or educating the whole family or community”.
“I congratulate the beneficiaries for the successful graduation from this training. As you all know, women are among my top priority, therefore if given the mandate in the coming 2023 general elections, I have various programmes for your future development”.
He called on the beneficiaries to support government programmes for the development of the state and urged them to vote for APC candidates at all levels during.
In his remarks, Managing Director, Zamfara Investment and Property Development Company, Anas Hamisu Lawal charged the beneficieries to utilise the various skills they were trained on.
