Scores of female students Kidnapped, as gunmen invade secondary school in Zamfara

Gunmen have abducted scores of female students of government secondary school in Jangebe, Zamfara State. 

SINL Nigeria Online gathered that Jangebe is in Talata-Mafara local government area of the state and about 200 kilometer away from Gusau, the state capital.

The school reportedly came under siege at 1am on Friday.

The state commissioner for information, Hon. Suleiman Tunau Anka confirmed the incidence, saying the gunmen stormed the school around 1 a.m on Friday and abducted the students.

Anka, however, did not confirm how many students were kidnapped.

But reports however suggest that no fewer than 300 girls were snatched from their hostel.

It would be recalled that gunmen recently attacked and kidnapped some students of Government Secondary School, Kagara in Niger state.
