Worried with the slow pace of work at Kyarmi district, the Senate Committee on FCT on Tuesday urged the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) to initiate the process of completing the project and commence work at the Maitama extension (Adamu Aleiro).
This followed the submission of the project contractor Kataka Ce Limited and the Executive Secretary of the FCDA, Shehu Hadi Ahmad.
Speaking at the session, chairman of the Senate Committtee on FCT, Senator Smart Adeyemi (Kogi West, APC) bemoaned the poor presentation of budget performance of 2022 and inability of some departments and agencies to appear before it with relevant documents.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary assured the committee that the FCDA has set in motion the process for the completion of Kyarmi, adding that there is also a process for a truce to enable the commencement of Adamu Aleiro (Maitama extension project.
