Ahead of the 2023 Eid-el-Maulud celebration, Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari has donated cash, cows and 100 bags of rice to many Islamic Centres in Zamfara North.
Senator Yari represents Zamfara West Senatorial zone and is currently the chairman of senate committee on water resources at the 10th Senate.
Speaking during the flag off of the distribution, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Sani Garba (General) said each of the centre received five bags of 50kg rice, cash worth N250,000 and two cows.
The distribution which took place in the four local governments areas of Zamfara North Senatorial zone was supervised by the Alhaji Lawal Liman.
Recall, Zamfara North is made up of Kaura Namoda, Birnin Magaji, Shinkafi and Zurmi local government areas.
In all the zones, the beneficiaries applauded the former governor of Zamfara state, saying the gesture was timely considering the significance of Eid-el-Maulud by the Qadiriyah and Tijjaniyya sects.
Indeed, Yari’s philanthropic gesture has covered the three Senatorial zones of Zamfara West, Zamfara North and Zamfara Central.
