The National Chairman, Jama’atu Izalatil Bidiat Wa-Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir has called on Federal government to probe the financial spending of those responsible for securing the lives and property of Nigerians.

The Cleric who made the call in an interview with newsmen in Dutse, Jigawa state capital on Sunday warned that time has come for Nigerians to stop what he described as unnecessary fear of bandits who attack communities.

On the present insecurity in the country, “I am calling on the policy makers, they should give enough funds to the security outfits whenever it is required. And they should find out how it is being expended to secure the entire nation”, he stressed.

Sheikh Jingir explained that “if our youths can team up with the security men on ground, and the vigilantes, they can defend their communities. Because security is everybody’s business, until we all team up and work together”.

“A coward always defeat himself and kills himself by himself without the enemy touching him. How can two or three bandits come on a motorcycle into a community and fire a shoot and everybody will run away? Communities should learn to resist such attacks”, he emphasized.

On the impending strike action by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) against the new proposed fuel hike to be effected from February 2022, he said “I am not in support of any strike or protest in the country, and I am not supporting the proposed fuel hike by federal government either”.
