Speaker Abbas mourns VP Shettima’s, Ganduje’s mothers-in-law

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has extended his condolences to the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, over the death of their mothers-in-law.

Hajia Maryam Albishir, mother of Vice President Shettima’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima, passed away on Sunday evening at the age of 69.

Dr. Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, lost his mother-in-law, Hajiya Asiya Gauyama, on Monday.

The Speaker, in a statement on Monday by Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity described the two late women as great community leaders and inspirations to the female folk.

Speaker Abbas commiserated with the families of the deceased.

The Speaker urged Vice President Shettima and Dr. Ganduje to take solace in the impactful lives that their mothers-in-law lived.

Speaker Abbas prayed to Allah to grant Hajia Albishir and Hajiya Gauyama Jannatul Firdaus.
