This assurance was given by Tanzania’s minister of foreign affairs and East African cooperation, Honourable Liberata Mulamula during the Tanzania – Nigeria tourism, investment and trade forum in Abuja.

The minister stressed that Tanzania enjoys a preferential trade arrangement by virtue of being a member of the East African Community (EAC) and Southern African Development Community (SADC) adding that “these credentials augur well with Tanzania’s strategic location which makes it the gateway to the far East and the world at large”.

Honourable Mulamula said Tanzania’s government has worked so hard for over two decades to put in place, a very conducive atmosphere for Investors with a wide range of investment incentives.

Apart from being a peaceful and politically stable country, the minister added that the Tanzania government also places importance on the tenets of good governance, respect for human rights and the rule of law.

“Tanzania enjoys abundance of natural wealth which offers tremendous opportunity for Investors and business people and we have also embarked on mega projects which are designed to promote businesses and investment in East, Central and Southern Africa” Hon Mulamula added.

Such projects according to the minister include standard gauge railway project, expansion of ports, expansion of airports, Julius Nyerere Hydro power project and many more.
