The Senator-elect of Jigawa Northwest Senatorial zone, Alhaji Babangida Hussaini has pledged to create more opportunities that can engage and better the lives of his constituents, especially the youths and women groups.

The Senator-Elect said that the plan to empower the youths and women was conceived since before he vyed to contest for the seat of Jigawa Northwest Senatorial zone.

Hussaini stated this on Friday, while speaking to reporters in Dutse, the state capital on why he joined politics and sought for the Senate seat.

“In our societies today, most especially in the north, youths and women are the most negleted, they are not given the attention they deserve by the policy makers”.

Babangida Hussaini emerged victorious in the last concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday after scoring 187,049 votes to defeat Ibrahim Saminu Turaki of the PDP who scored 134,199 votes.

The Senator-elect also called on the electorate to accord the same support he received to the APC gubernatorial candidate, Malam Umar Namadi in the upcoming governorship and state Assembly election.
