Yari adopts 5000 Orphans in Zamfara, budgets N169m to feed, clothe them

A former Governor of Zamfara state, Abdulaziz Yari has expressed readiness to adopt 5000 Orphans in the state as his children from the 2022 Ramadan period.

Abdulaziz Yari who spoke on Thursday in Gusau, through chairman of the committee for the distribution of foods and clothing to orphans in the state, Hon. Sanusi Liman DanAlhaji said the ex-governor is now father to Orphans.

Hon. DanAlhaji disclosed that as part of effort to assist Orphans in the state, Yari is ready to feed and clothe 5000 Orphans in this year holy month of Ramadan. 

He maintained that Yari has spent N169 million to feed and provide clothing materials to the Orphans in this year’s Ramadan period.

According to him, assorted grains that comprises of rice, maize, sugar, and millet were distributed to the Orphans across all the Emirates in the state.

“I’m happy to tell you that former governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar is now the father of Orphans in the state, from this year’s Ramadan, he has assured to adopt 5000 Orphans, feed and clothe them every year across the State “.

He added that during this year’s Ramadan and Sallah, “every benefitting Orphan would get shadder brocade for male category while female would get Ankara wrapper with two thousand naira for sewing”.
