Coordinator of Youths for Better Ikem, Comrade Michael Agbaji has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr Alexander Ojonimi Agbo and entire Ikem community over his untimely death.
Agbaji, in a statement on Wednesday said Mr Ojonimi, died suddenly on the 11th of April 2024, at the age of 44 in Lagos, noted that his exit was a great lost to the entire Ikem community.
The statement described late Ojonimi as “a perfect gentleman and a great loss to the entire Ikem community, he will be sorely missed for his contributions to development of education in the community, his wisdom, mature composure, zest for excellence and proven integrity”.
According to the statement, Ojonimi was known for coming first in every endeavour he engaged in and played around literary words without bitterness in all his life.
“I am deeply saddened by the death of a man with first in all his life endeavours. He came first in his secondary school (WAEC), he was the overall best student at the Ahmad Bello University, Zaria, with a second class Upper division.
The urged all the youths in Ikem community and Ogugu in general to go closer to God “as nobody no know who will be next, as death is debt everyone has to pay”.
He appealed to leaders in the community to help Ojonimi family so that his departure will not be noticed.
“On behalf of my family, the youths for better Ikem, I wish him eternal rest with the Lord. May God grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss”.
