At least five students of Government Day Secondary School Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State have regain freedom.
According to The PUNCH, a former councilor of Kaya ward, Yahaya Kaya, confirmed the release of the five students on Thursday.
Police had earlier confirmed that the students were kidnapped on Wednesday.
Kaya said his daughter, Amina, was among the students released by the bandits.
Acccording to him, the five students were taken back to their hometown Kaya, around 01am on Thursday.
