The Caretaker chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara state, Lawal Kaura has assured free and fair revalidation of membership, saying any interested citizen is free to register with the party.
According to him, the registration exercise would be a huge success and hitch free with the recent reconciliation of the two warring factions of former Governor Abdul Aziz Yari and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa.
Rising from a meeting with the national officers of the party who are in the state for the revalidation, kaura said all is set for the exercise which would start tomorrow Thursday in the state.
“As you can see, we have just finished stakeholders meeting with the representatives of our great party APC from the national headquarters, with seven members under the leadership of Alhaji Kareti Lawal”.
He maintained that zamfara APC is now one family with no difference, “we have reconcile ourselves”.
“The chairman of Senator Marafa’s faction, Alhaji Surajo Maikatako and myself, of the former Governor Yari’s faction are all here today and working as one family.
“There is no disagreement within our party in Zamfara as far as the ongoing revilidation of membership exercise is concerned in the state”.
He however maintained that the training of the party members on the ongoing registration exercise has commenced with a view to enlighten members on how to register with the party.
He explained that the training is currently ongoing at the state level, adding that, it would further be extended to 147 wards as well as 2516 poling units across the state”.
He assured that all members of the party will be revalidated and appealed for support to enhance free and fair exercise.
