The Federal High Court sitting in Gusau has upheld the election of Abdulmalik Zubairu as 2023 APC candidate for Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency of Zamfara state.

Delivering the judgement on Thursday, the Presiding Judge of the court, Justice Aminu Bappa dismissed the case for lack of merit.

The judge said the court has rejected all the evidences tendered by the plaintiff on the ground that they were inadmissible before the court and dismissed the case.

“The  court has rejected all evidences tendered by the plaintiff on the ground that the evidences are inadmissible before this court.

“Because of that reason, the court hereby reject the evidences and dismiss the case” he ruled.

It would be recalled that the emergence of Zubairu during the APC primary election was challenged before the court by Abdurrahman Tumbido for alleged irregularities, praying for the cancellation of the election.

Commenting over his victory, Zubairu appreciated the efforts and prayers from all supporters, assured of his vision and mission blueprint for the development of his constituency, state and country at large.

He called on Abdulrahman Tumbido to come and join hands with him for the development of their constituency and zamfara state.
