Zamfara Govt Inaugurates Committee for Payment of Gratuities

Zamfara state government has constituted a committee to pave way for payment of outstanding gratuties and other benefits of retired civil servants In the state.

The committee is scheduled to start its assignment on Saturday, 27th by verifying civil servants who retired from both state and local government services. It will work in conjunction with the state chapters of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to ensure probity.

A statement signed by the acting state Secretary of NLC, Comrade Ahmad Abubakar and made available to SINL Nigeria Online indicated that civil servants who retired from the state government in 2015, 2016, and 2017 will be verified from Saturday, 27th January while those from local government service who retired from 2011 to 2013 will also be verified on the same date.

The NLC Secretary therefore thanked the state government for the good gesture and enjoined those affected to make good use of the opportunity by complying with the directives given by committee to facilitate the payment process.
