The Zamfara State Chapter of the Non-Governmental Association for Literacy Support Services, NOGALSS has commended the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal for the bold and commendable step of settling all outstanding fees for WAEC and NECO examinations.
The group said that the decisive action reflects the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the educational development and future of the young people.
This was contained in a statement issued by the State chairman, NOGALSS, Ahmad Hashim which was made available to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital.
“By clearing the backlogs, His Excellency has not only lifted a heavy burden from thousands of struggling families but has also restored hope, dignity, and equal opportunity to students across the State”, the statement added.
“We further applaud Governor Dauda Lawal for his visionary declaration of a state of emergency on education in Zamfara State. This move signifies a strong political will to address systemic challenges and transform the sector for the benefit of current and future generations”
“The payment of examination backlogs is a concrete demonstration of this commitment. We urge the Governor to sustain this momentum by implementing robust, inclusive, and innovative policies that will ensure access to quality education for all”
