The Zamfara State police command has declared total onslaught against recalcitrant bandits.
Speaking at a press conference held at the State police command in Gusau on Wednesday, the newly deployed CP Ayuba Elkana said his policing strategy would be intelligence led driven and community participation.
“The combat readiness, determination and total commitment of the police under my watch will be through total onslaught against recalcitrant bandits and other criminals elements “.
He assured that his policing strategies will be intelligence led driven, community participation and engagement to embrace human security and development services.
“This required diverse expertise to be driven by fore knowledge and be guided by intelligence at strategic operational and tactical levels “.
He reiterated his commitment to the general public to bring lasting peace in the State.
“I want to assured members of the public in Zamfara State that the police under my watch will discharge its mandates in line with the constitutional provisions and ethics of the force.
Also “human rights violations, corrupt practices and unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated “.
He warned all recalcitrant criminals in the State to embrace peace and key into the State government peace process and surrender their arms or face dare consequence.
“On community policing which happens to be policy Trust of the Nigeria police will be strengthened in such a way that members of the society will be carried along and encouraged to actively participate in the policing affairs of their environment”.
