Jigawa state Governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar on Wednesday sacked 25 local government councils’ Secretaries.
Secretaries of Sule Tankarkar and Buji local councils however got respite as they retained their jobs.
This was contained in a press statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry for local goverrnment, Comrade Namib Umar and made available to reporters in Dutse.
“Jigawa State Government hereby announce the with immediate effect the relieve of appointments of all the 27 Local Governments secretaries (except) Sule Tankarkar and Buji”, the statement read.
The statement further directed the Concerned officers to hand over all official documents in their possession to their respective local governments’ Directors of admin and General Services without delay.
According to the statement, Governor Badaru appreciated the enormous contributions rendered by the Secretaties during their stay in office, and wished them success in their future endeavours.
