One of the Presidential Aspirants under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a one time Senate President, Mr Anyim Pius Anyim has said Hadejia/Jama’are River valey will be reopen and widen to revamp the economy of Jigawa state.
“My first priority as President of this country, is to encourage agriculture as well as assist the farming communities of Jigawa state, so that agricultural produce will be among items to be exported through the Dutse International Airport”, he said.
The Presidential aspirant stated this on Thursday while addressing 91 PDP delegates plus other stakeholders of the party in Jigawa state at the party’s Secretariat in Dutse.
He emphasized that Jigawa state has attained its high level of development by the PDP during the administration of Sule Lamido.
He noted that Jigawa is the only state that has remained peaceful in Nigeria, saying the strategies developed and used by Sule Lamido during his leadership has worked well for the state.
“We will offer Nigeria peace, development, progress, security and wealth. We will make sure everywhere and everybody is safe in the country”, he concluded.
