Gunmen have attacked Garin Baka community in Ardo-Kola Local Council of Taraba State.

Scores of persons were feared dead,  Guardian reported.

Though the police command could not ascertain the official number of casualties at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that no fewer than 15 persons were killed in the attacks that occurred on Friday.

Confirming that there was an attack in the community, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abdullahi Usman, said the command was still expecting the official figures of casualties from the Police Divisional Headquarters of the council.

They also claimed that several persons were left with gunshot injuries, as houses and domestic animals, including cows, were set ablaze by the attackers, who were shooting sporadically.
