Explosion has hit Iluabo, a suburb of Akure in Ondo state.
Indeed, resident were shocked by the explosion that occurred in the area at about 1am on Saturday, Channels TV report.
Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu confirmed on Twitter that there had been a “loud blast” and said he was headed to the “scene to assess”.
The Governor also asked that citizens “remain calm as we ascertain details of the incidence.”
The number of casualties, if any, and the extent of damage is yet unclear.
