Gov. Namadi warns council chairmen on absenteeism

Jigawa state Governor, Malam Umar Namadi has warned the 27 local government chairmen against unnecessary absenteeism from office.

Namadi has also warned all the civil servants and political appointees to dedicate their service to the citizens of the state.

The Governor expressed displeasure at the absence of some council chairmen during an unscheduled visit to four local governments on Tuesday.

Mallam Namadi who undertook an unannounced inspection tour to Kyawa, Miga and Kafin Hausa local governments, however did not meet the chairmen on seat.

He warned that henceforth, any chairman who absent himself from his duty post without any reason will be queried.
 Among the four local governments the Governor visited only the chairman of Jahun local government was met in office.
