The Senator representing Zamfara west Senatorial district, Senator Lawal Dan,Iya has called on Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki to steer away from Zamfara politics particularly on the issue of recent impeachment of the State deputy Governor Mahadi Aliyu Gusau.

“You are completely ignorant of happenings in Zamfara” Senator Dan’Iya said.

Senator Dan’Iya, in a statement on Monday described Bukola Saraki’s comments on the recent impeachment of the state former Deputy Governor, Mahdi Ali Gusau as falsehood.

“Saraki who is completely ignorant of happenings in Zamfara should know that Zamfara is not Kwara, and therefore should not meddle in our affairs by feeding falsehood to Nigerians on the removal of the state’s Deputy Governor.

Specifically, the lawmaker berated Saraki for reportedly describing the impeachment as lacking in due process.

He maintained that Senator Bukola as former lawmaker is allegedly destroying the decades of the Saraki political dynasty especially in Kwara state and Nigeria in general.

“He should have said what due process was lacking in the process, from the charges to how the state House of Assembly handled the matter, to the investigation of the legal committee set up by the state chief judge to the submission of the report and then the impeachment”.

According to him, Bukola is reportedly wrong, saying Zamfara will not accept anyone within and outside, making any attempt to bring stakeholders on collision course.

“PDP is worried by the defection of our dear governor, His Excellency Bello Mohammed Matawalle from the party to  APC last year, they went to court asking the judiciary to remove the governor from office.

“It must be noted that, Mahdi’s refusal to join his boss to the APC was his personal choice and not even an issue, because while the governor was moving to the APC, he never asked his deputy to do so rather, he assured that they will continue to work for the growth, development and progress of Zamfara even as members of different political parties” the statement added.
